Read Psalm 90:1-12

There are many images for God in the Psalms (shepherd, father, mother, king). What image is used in vv. 1-2? How are humans described (vv. 3-11)? What does it mean to “number our days aright”? From reflecting on death, one can learn how to live.

A Prayer for the week

Righteous God, our merciful master, you own the earth and all its peoples, and you give us all that we have. Inspire us to serve you with justice and wisdom, and prepare us for the joy of the day of your coming, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.  Amen.
